Apparently my estranged husband considers keeping an eye on a new, not-yet-housebroken puppy more important that visiting with his son tomorrow.

Words fail me.

I get the impression from his text message that it's a shared dog between all the housemates. The disturbing thing is that he reckoned he couldn't have Rowan over because there was 'crap all over the place' - implying they're letting this puppy do his business all over the flat, and not putting much of a priority on cleaning up afterwards...*shudders*

Sym sometimes leaves me little presents - mostly 'cause he's getting old - but even so...

Oh, dear. It really sounds as if he shouldn't have a dog - and if he can't train the dog, then Rowan needs not to be around at all, it could be dangerous for him. Not to be alarmist, but awful things do happen.

Oh trust me I know. I have a dog phobia, 'cause of a few experiences in my childhood. I can come to adore certain individual dogs, but I don't much like the species in general.

Cats rule :-)

Rowan's also got a fairly irrational fear of dogs, though I don't know where that comes from. But if it keeps him out of his fathers flat, I don't mind.
