I know of few kids stupid enough to jump out a window from first floor or higher - there was a study once that proved babies have sufficient depth perception that they weren't prepared to cross an empty space covered by a glass platform 'cause, not understanding glass, they thought they'd fall.
I'd lock Rowan's window, but I don't want to take away a possible means of escape should anything happen.
