Series Title: Amser A Ddengys (Time Will Tell)- part three
Story Title: Penblwydd Hapus! (Happy Birthday!) (1/1)

Rating: General at present, though may go up, but 'Adult Concepts' throughout. Slight swearing in this one.

Spoilers: AU from the start of season two, but everything is fair game.

Pairings/Characters: Jack/Ianto, Toshiko

Disclaimer: Don't own them, hope I can do a better job than Rusty *makes stabbing motions*

Summary: It's Ianto's birthday, and Jack intends to spoil him rotten.

Notes: Wrote this last summer, but didn't get it finished in time to post it for Ianto's birthday. I'm three weeks ahead of myself again this year, but I wanted to post it anyway. The last part of the story is based on something my BFF [livejournal.com profile] thaya_rayal did to me! *grins*

Series Title: Amser A Ddengys (Time Will Tell)- part two
Story Title: Y Teulu (The Family) (1/1)

Rating: General at present, though may go up, but 'Adult Concepts' throughout.

Spoilers: AU from the start of season two, but everything is fair game.

Pairings/Characters: Jack/Ianto, plus Children Of Earth characters.

Disclaimer: Don't own them, hope I can do a better job than Rusty *makes stabbing motions*

Summary: Ianto's sister and her family are coming for dinner...

Notes: Just a short peice of fluff to introduce Rhiannon and her family to my AU. As this occurs around the time season two was kicking off, the kids are a little younger than when they appeared in 'Children Of Earth'

Ianto, calm down! It's your family, not the Prime Minister. )

Series Title: Amser A Ddengys (Time Will Tell)- part one
Story Title: Croeso Nôl (Welcome Back) (1/5)

Rating: General at present, though may go up, but 'Adult Concepts' throughout.

Spoilers: AU from the start of season two, but everything is fair game.

Pairings/Characters: Jack/Ianto, Torchwood Regulars plus - eventually - Children Of Earth characters.

Disclaimer: Don't own them, hope I can do a better job than Rusty *makes stabbing motions*

Summary: Jack's back - but has everything changed?

Notes: This story was started about two years ago, and I've been tinkering with it off and on ever since. Initially beta'd by the awesome [livejournal.com profile] out_there, but RL got in the way of my editing it and it's been such a long time now I felt it would be an inconvenience to send it back for a lookover. As a result, any remaining errors etc. are entirely my own fault. Hope I didn't do too badly!

Decided to post this now, the day after 'Children Of Earth' concluded, as the fandom is seriously in need of a healthy dose of denial right about now.

Are you sure this is what you want? )

Okay - Firefox updated itself last night, and the updates installed themselves when I switched the computer on this morning. First page it gave me was the one outlining all the updates, with an arrow for me to click to get to my homepage. So I clicked it.

However, I have my Firefox set up to open two tabs and this time it tried to open both of them in the same page! *shakes head in bemusement* What was interesting was the 404 error page I got as a result:

I'm sorry, you've reached a page that I cannot find. I'm really sorry about this. It's kind of embarassing. Here you are, the user, trying to get to a page on LiveJournal and I can't even serve it to you. What does that say about me? I'm just a webserver. My sole purpose in life is to serve you webpages and I can't even do that! I suck. Please don't be mad, I'll try harder. I promise! Who am I kidding? You're probably all like, "Man, LiveJournal's webserver sucks. It can't even get me where I want to go." I'm really sorry. Maybe it's my CPU...no that's ok...how bout my hard drives? Maybe. Where's my admin? I can't run self-diagnostics on myself. It's so boring in this datacenter. It's the same thing everyday. Oh man, I'm so lonely. I'm really sorry about rambling about myself, I'm selfish. I think I'm going to go cut my ethernet cables. I hope you get to the page you're looking for...goodbye cruel world!

*giggles*

Also, I finally found a few minutes to type out a Torchwood snippett I've had on my mind since Thursday. I'm not convinced its all that good, and I probably forgot a few things, but I wanted to share it anyway.
Jack's return - minor spoiler warning! )

Right...need to go start lunch and get ready for a day of baking with the rugrat. We already spent friday evening making cakes, ending up with some little chocolate cakes, test-running the chocolate krispie cakes he needs to make next week for the Eisteddfod at school, and a banana cake where I misread the recipie and mashed up too many bananas *grins* Tastes nice enough though!

I actually wrote this last year, but not in time for Valentines. Technically I'm late this year too - I just never got 'round to posting this in the last couple of days.

This is just a little snippet that hit me on the bus home this afternoon. It's not much, but it amused me so I didn't want to lose it.

...in the hopes of cheering up [livejournal.com profile] phoebesmum.

A completely un-beta'd Sports Night fic (Dan/Casey, naturally) that I'm not entirely sure is finished - but every time I stare at the file in the hopes of working on it, nothing more comes. Comments/suggestions welcomed.

In the hope of keeping [livejournal.com profile] phoebesmum's 'SN fic every day in 2007' going - here's another snippet I've been tinkering with on my laptop. It even has a name! *faints in shock!*

Today is apparently the feast day of St Hilary! There was an email about it in work couple of days ago;

This day has gained the reputation of being the coldest day of the year.

This dates back to 1086 when a great frost started spreading over the country on St Hilary's feast day. It lasted well into March, and is said to be the severest Arctic spell ever experienced in Britain!

We're all to take our scarves into work on Monday to celebrate, which will earn us a raffle ticket. The prize is a trip to the Ski & Snowboard Centre here in Cardiff (I didn't even know we had one...) Needless to say I doubt I'll bother to enter - I'd break a limb!

On the other hand, paid time off....

Anyway! As it's St Hilary's Day, here's a present for the lovely [livejournal.com profile] phoebesmum!

Totally un-beta'd, possibly unfinished SN Fic - any title ideas, so I can post it to the archives? )

This is another Sports Night fic that I worked on during bus journeys to and from work. It's been a while since I wrote it, with other stuff getting in the way.

[livejournal.com profile] catwalksalone very kindly betaed for me, and made some good suggestions as well as gave some lovely feedback that made me smile. Any remaining mistakes are entirely my own!

Herein lies SN fic )

Okay, thought I'd post the little Sports Night fic I've been working on during bus journeys for the last couple of weeks. It's pretty obvious what was on my mind when I got the idea for this particular story *grins wryly*

Once again I don't have a title for it, so any suggestions would be welcomed. I'll probably post it to the fanfic communities over the weekend

This is another one I wrote some months ago, but have been tinkering with ever since.

It's a Sports Night Dan/Casey story, though there's nothing graphic. I haven't reached the point where I could write anything above a PG... *grin* I guess you could call it a song-fic - it was inspired by a song, and lines get quoted. But there's none of those irritating paragraphs that are basically just verses of the song.

[livejournal.com profile] phoebesmum very kindly beta'd this for me, correcting my punctuation and offering alternative phrasing in places where I was struggling. Thank you very much hon!

Herein lies fic. )
gothams3rdrobin: (dan & casey - pleading)
I wrote this about a month ago, travelling on the bus back and forth to work. I don't entirely hate it, though I think it's seriously lacking something. But then, the quality of Sports Night fic is usually pretty high so I feel a bit intimidated submitting my own crap...

This was really hard to email home after typing it up at work - bloody censorship software...*mutters*

Here be Dan and Casey.... )

Right...I really ought to go clean up some more....
gothams3rdrobin: (transparent office doors)
Because I really want to finish this, and so it would be nice to get some opinion one way or the other.

gothams3rdrobin: (mock you by kho)
Okay, so my system has been freezing a fair amount in the last hour, and has been stuck for the last five minutes. So, to pass the time, I typed up a little SN ficlet that's been in my head since yesterday evening.

I don't have a title for it (I'm terrible at them!). It's PG, the characters involved are Dan and Casey, and it's yet again set pre-Sports Night.

here be fic... )
gothams3rdrobin: (glances across the anchor desk by froste)
I got hit with a little bit of a fic idea this morning, and there was no way I could go to bed without getting the damn thing out of my head...

So here we are. My first ever Sports Night fic, inspired by the song 'I Wanna Kiss The Bride' by Elton John. Radio One were trying to be cute/sarcastic while covering his wedding to his partner David today...

If you don't like the genre, or the pairing of Casey McCall/Dan Rydell - no need to click on the link. I'd love to know what people think though, as Sports Night's not an easy genre to write for.

Here be fic.... )
